Kicking off an Exciting 2016 at the Integrated Award Environment!

The IAE plans multiple product releases and stakeholder engagement activities in what should be an exciting and eventful 2016.

The Integrated Award Environment (IAE) is gearing up for a busy and exciting year in 2016.

As we continue to follow, refine, and improve upon our agile development processes this year, the involvement and engagement of IAE system users and stakeholders remains a critical component to our success.

The IAE defines a beta release as a pre-release of software in the production environment for our users to try under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through acceptance testing and are fairly close to the look, feel, and function to the final product. Beta software will co-exist with currently used or live software until stakeholder and IAE acceptance. Please continue to send your comments and feedback about our beta software via focus groups or email to iaeoutreach@gsa.gov.

Here’s a preview of what you can expect from us in calendar year 2016:

  • Winter 2016: Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA), Federal Business Opportunities (FBO), and System for Award Management (SAM) rehosting go into a beta release. The Federal Hierarchy is also due to go live in this release.

  • Spring 2016: CFDA, FBO, Federal Hierarchy, SAM rehosting, and the launch of the Federal Procurement Data System - Next Generation (FPDS-NG) analysis/reporting prototype and test data/business rule engine.

  • Fall 2016: CFDA, FBO, Federal Hierarchy, SAM rehosting, and the launch of the Federal Procurement Data System - Next Generation (FPDS-NG) reporting/business rule engine and app development.

Along with these releases, there will be more Industry Days and more focus groups so we can continue the conversation with you, our users and stakeholders.  There also will be additional content created and posted to IAE Youtube playlist, the community engagement environment here on Interact, and through other exciting venues.  And of course, we’ll continue to report out about the latest IAE news and developments in The IAE Digest, GSA.gov, and again here on Interact.

Do you have any questions about the IAE’s 2016 plans? Leave your questions in the comments or email your questions to iaeoutreach@gsa.gov.
