Happy FY 21 from the MAS PMO! Important Information and Deadlines

Happy fiscal year 2021 (FY 2021) from the MAS PMO! We worked through some unprecedented situations in FY 2020 and want to make sure you know that the MAS PMO is tremendously grateful for all of your engagement and continued participation in our MAS Consolidation efforts.

FY 2020 MAS Partnership Success

In Phase 2, 99% of contractors updated their contracts to align with the terms and conditions of the new consolidated MAS by the July 31, 2020 deadline. The MAS PMO launched Phase 3 on August 1, 2020, requiring all current contractors with multiple contracts to consolidate their offerings down to one contract per unique entity identifier (UEI), e.g. Data Universal Numbers System (DUNS) number.

GSA will be working with affected contractors to put together their consolidation plans beginning in January 2021. Due to Blanket Purchase Agreements and open orders, a small percentage of contracts may take five to ten years to consolidate. If you’re a part of Phase 3, please take some time to review the recording of our August training.

FY 2021 Priorities & Important Deadlines

We know your year ahead is already jam-packed with important work - the MAS PMO is excited to continue our partnership supporting you in your federal business endeavors. Here’s an overview of what the MAS PMO is focusing on this year and the updates and deadlines you need to know:

  • FY 2021 MAS PMO Priorities: The MAS PMO’s FY 21 priorities include working with impacted contractors on their Phase 3 consolidation plans, improving customer order experience, and supporting the Industrial Operations Analysts (IOAs) you partner with.
  • GSA FAS ID: GSA is launching FAS ID on GSA eBuy on October 10, 2020. This is a new way for contractors to login to many GSA applications using multi-factor authentication. Read all the details here.
  • GSA Advantage Catalog Update Deadline Extended: Please note this important change. The deadline for all contractors to update their price lists and GSA Advantage catalogs to the new consolidated MAS SINs has been extended to March 31, 2021. This is a mandatory update. Your catalog will be removed from GSA Advantage if the deadline is not met. Review the SIP/EDI Catalog Update Guide and MAS Consolidation Price List Guide for support.
  • MAS Monthly Office Hours for Industry: The MAS PMO and Director Stephanie Shutt are hosting virtual MAS Office Hours specifically for our industry partners on the third Thursday of each month. These webinars cover topics for different MAS contractor experience levels and are your chance to ask MAS experts anything! Register for the series here. The October 15th discussion will focus on the MAS PMO’s FY 21 priorities (all levels) and the November 19th presentation will feature the MAS Roadmap for New Offerors (beginner level).
  • MAS Modification Guidance: A reminder that the MAS Modification Guidance and modification Price Proposal Templates (PPTs) are available on the MAS Contract Requirements and Modification Guidance page on GSA.gov. This is in the process of being updated to align with Phase 3.
