GSA/FAS Launches Important Customer Tool to Track Progress for E.O.14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors

The Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) is assisting our customer agencies in complying with E.O. 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors. FAS is in the process of bilaterally modifying all existing contracts and “contract-like instruments” awarded before October 15, 2021, to include the clause at FAR 52.223-99, as applicable.

For indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contracts, including all Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contracts, Multi-Agency Contracts (MACs), and Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC), contractors must sign the modification no later than November 14, 2021 to be eligible for new orders.

FAS developed the COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, an interactive dashboard that tracks modification status and lists it as “Accepted”, “Closed/Cancelled”, or “Pending.”  If the status is ‘Accepted’, the clause applies to existing and future orders.  If the status is ‘Pending’, the modification has not yet been accepted.  The dashboard allows users to filter by contractor name, business size, contract vehicle and DUNS number.  Contracting Officers are encouraged to check the Modification Status Tracker before placing orders against FAS-managed IDIQ vehicles

Hello, this post states that it will be tracking the modification status of "Close/Cancelled" but I do not see that as an option. Could you please direct me on where to see that data? Thank you.

Hello Linda, thank you for your question. At this time, contract statuses are shown as Accepted or Pending to allow vendors the opportunity to come into compliance. At a future date, GSA will be updating information to reflect those vendors who have chosen not to be in compliance.
