GSA Improves Multiple Award Schedule 56 for Buildings and Materials!

GSA Improves Multiple Award Schedule 56 for Buildings and Materials!

GSA has been committed to completing two initiatives to make the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) 56 offerings more informative and easier to use.

First, GSA has developed a customer ordering guide for pre-engineered and prefabricated buildings to help agencies and Contracting Officers use GSA MAS 56 to meet their requirements. This guide is now available on the Acquisition Gateway and the GSA MAS 56 portal page. The guide includes:

  • Defined salient characteristics

  • Ordering procedures

  • Answers to frequently asked questions

  • Sample Statements of Objectives (SOOs) and Statements of Work (SOWs)

  • Points of contact

Second, the GSA MAS 56 solicitation is being revised to allow expanded use of RSMeans, including incidental costs.  RSMeans is a proprietary pricing tool that provides cost information to the construction industry, so contractors can provide accurate cost estimates. For decades, RSMeans has been recognized by industry and government as an authoritative source of such costs. GSA’s expanded use of this tool will allow for more comprehensive support and a total solution on building projects.

For more information about these tools or GSA MAS 56, please contact Mataya Jordan at (817) 850-8161 or email mataya.jordan@gsa.gov or Haley Naegele at (817) 850-8444 or email haley.naegele@gsa.gov.
