GSA Expo 2012 to Feature OASIS Overview Sessions- Join Us!

In order to provide our customers and industry partners with as much information as possible about OASIS—GSA’s next generation contract vehicle for complex professional services—and ensure your voices are heard, the OASIS team will be featuring two OASIS Information Forums at next month’s GSA Training Conference & Expo in San Antonio, Texas, from May 15 thru 17. Information about these sessions is as follows:

Hotel: Marriott Riverwalk Hotel

Meeting Room: Alamo Ballroom – Salons A&B

Meeting Name: OASIS Information Forum

Dates & Times: Monday, May 14, 1:00pm – 4:00pm and Thursday, May 17, 8:00am – 9:15pm

I hope those of you attending GSA’s premier training conference will take advantage of this opportunity to find out more about what’s on the horizon for OASIS. As I have emphasized in my other posts, transparency and collaboration are key to the success of the OASIS platform. We at FAS believe OASIS will transform how government works, but we need your participation and big ideas to ensure it truly is a groundbreaking solution.

Please visit expo.gsa.gov to learn more about this year’s training conference. I look forward to meeting you in San Antonio and continuing our dialogue!

Hi Susan - a link to the Coalition for Government Procurement's Spring Conference presentation is listed on the OASIS Industry Community homepage -- it is titled "OASIS Presentation at the CGP Conference (April 26, 2012) - An Important Announcement" Just in case, I've copied and pated the link below for easy access. The presentation is listed under "Files." Please let me know if you run into any issues.

http://interact.gsa.gov/document/oasis-presentation-cgp-conference-april-26-2012-important-announcement

Jim

Hello, John! The slides presented at GSA Expo 2012 will be very similar, if not identical, to the ones we recently posted from my comments at the Coalition for Government Procurement's Spring Conference. Note that those slides did include the high-level schedule. We do not plan to announce or discuss specifics related to expected number of awards. We absolutely will consider hosting another webinar later this year, perhaps in conjunction with the release of the draft RFP this summer.

Jim

Hello again Jim,

Will the presentation slides you use for the upcoming GSA Expo be more extensive than the ones you used for the TechAmerica Federal Civil Group presentation you made on Apr 16, will your May presentation include tentative program milestones (e.g., target dates through issuance of final RFP), will it include the tentative number of awards anticipated by GSA, and how will those slides be made available to those of us interested in seeing them yet are unable to attend the Expo? GSA has had a number of very good and informative webinars over the last several years. Perhaps you could consider a webinar on OASIS in late May or June.

Thanks, John Boulware
