GSA Celebrates Small Business Saturday

GSA Celebrates Small Business Saturday

Don’t forget! Tomorrow, November 27th, is Small Business Saturday. Let’s keep small business owners and entrepreneurs in mind. American small businesses have faced unprecedented times recently, and their perseverance is truly admirable. They need our support now more than ever as they look to pivot and recover towards a stronger economy.

We encourage you to support your local businesses in any way that you can -- whether it’s shopping at your neighborhood favorites or discovering a new restaurant. Supporting the small business community helps strengthen and build back our economy. Learn more about Small Business Saturday and how you can participate.

GSA is committed to ensuring that small businesses are well represented in the federal marketplace. We’ve continued to advance opportunities across the nation by helping small businesses who work with the federal government recover from the pandemic. There are more than 31.7 million small businesses in the U.S., which have accounted for 65% of net new job creation since 2000. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, so it’s important to remember that approximately 67 cents of every dollar spent at a small business stays in the local community. When you shop small on Small Business Saturday -- and throughout the year -- you are making an even greater impact in your community.

We look forward to expanding opportunities for small businesses to succeed in the federal procurement market both now, and in the future.
