Dan, I just tried the hyperlink again and it worked fine (must have been user error before). How do you see this new SIN working with the products and services already offered under Schedule 84?

Dan Briest

Hi Jen,

Generally, there is not a great deal of overlap across schedules. In this instance, the Professional Engineering Services (PES) schedule does not provide any supplies related to Fire Protection. Instead the services related to the Fire Protection counsulting are directed towards ensuring that the systems are operating properly. To use the schedule properly, please reference the implementation guide found at the link provided in the orginal blog. Adding these services was derived from our customer agencies who felt that there was a need for these professional services and wanted access to them off of the PES schedule. For additional questions in reference to the Fire Protection consulting services, please contant the business manager reflected on the PES web page located at: http://www.gsa.gov/pes

Jen,

I just tried the hyperlink and it worked fine. Take a look at the reference guide and it will provide you with the the proper use and identified SINs. It is not a new SIN for the PES schedule.

Thanks,

Dan
