FAS Guides Customer to Cost-Efficient Solutions in Region 4 using IT Schedule 70

Region 4’s Customer Service Director Todd Cook helped officials from Escambia County procure Information Technology equipment through the Cooperative Purchasing Program. The equipment purchased will be used for professional television broadcasting services, enhancing the county’s audio, voting, studio, internal display and broadcast camera systems.

Cook worked with county officials to help them understand how to use the Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) Program in identifying qualified IT contractors from Schedule 70. With Cook’s assistance, the county was able to identify qualified IT contractors within their budget.

“We were able to help guide Escambia County in the right direction,” said Cook. “FAS helped them meet their mission and still remain within their budget.”

The Cooperative Purchasing Program, comprised of IT Schedule 70 and Schedule 84 – Law Enforcement, allows state and local governments to buy from MAS contractors. Visit the Cooperative Purchasing page, http://www.gsa.gov/stateandlocal, for more information.
