Everything You Need to Know Before FBO.gov Goes Away in Fiscal Year 2020

The IAE is continuously working to reduce barriers in doing business with the federal government. By the fiscal year 2020, the transition of all the things you do today in FBO.gov will move into the centralized system beta.SAM.gov (under the domain name  ‘Contract Opportunities’).

FBO.gov will be our fourth system recently to retire and the third to transition into beta.SAM.gov in our ongoing effort to streamline the federal government awards process. The beta site will simplify daily tasks and increase business knowledge by providing one powerful search tool, one robust reporting tool, and one workspace for managing your work. All functionality will migrate to beta.SAM.gov along with some added improvement, making contract opportunities more user-friendly.

You will have plenty of time to take any and all steps you need to transition along with us as seamlessly as possible. We’ll be conducting various outreach programs to prepare you for this migration. From our quarterly industry outreach day to user testing, we will have you ready for FBO.gov decommissioning in the fiscal year 2020.

If you want to learn more about the FBO transition and how it will impact you, please check out the FBO Transition Fact Sheet located on the gsa.gov/iae beta.SAM.gov presskit.  For training information, visit the Learning Center.

Stay tuned for more information.
