Celebrate Women-Owned Small Businesses

In honor of Women’s Small Business Month,  join the  Small Business Administration (SBA) and industry experts for a Twitter chat on business tips for women entrepreneurs on October 26, 2017.  It will be  hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (@SBAgov) and they will be sharing tips and resources to help women start, grow and succeed in business. Follow along with the hashtag #SBAchat.

The SBA has designated October as Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Month and will celebrate with information and classes aimed at WOSB’s.  For example, the webinar Encore Entrepreneurship for Women is an introduction to business planning, directed at women over the age of 50 who are interested in pursuing a second career and launching their own business. As you scroll through the website you will find there’s plenty more, in fact there is an entire section dedicated to What You Need to Know if You Are a Woman-Owned Small Business.

WOSB is just one of several socio-economic designations included in the Federal Government’s formal goaling programs to ensure small businesses get their fair share of work in the federal market.  Whether you are a WOSB or any other type of small business, we encourage you to take advantage of all the free training available through GSA’s Office of Small Business Utilization (OSBU).

Can the GSA Office of Small Business Utilization (OSBU) help in any way? If you have any questions, please feel free to submit them via our  OSBU Contact Form.
